Once I laughed!

Once I laughed. I was talking about astrology on social media and someone told me:

“I know a much better way  to predict the future than astrology: praying to Jesus Christ”.

I respect Christians, my parents and grandparents were Christians. On principle, when praying for something, the mindset would rather be  'Please Lord' than 'I can predict I'll get what I want'.

It's true though that, according to the official scriptures,  Jesus said:

“...Everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Birds feed their chicks but chicks don't wait passively without even opening their beak.

Some people ask astrologers: ‘When will I meet the love of my life?’  as if there was nothing else to do than knowing when the time will come and wait for it.

We may pray to God or to a Teddy Bear, or play at 'What would you ask for if  a fairy offered  to grant you three wishes.' The essential thing  is to know what we want, and be ready to get it.

This is also true when pondering over an astrological chart.

A chart is like a psychic skeleton. Looking at your skeleton, it's possible to tell whether you can swim, fly or jump, but not on what tunes you'll chose to dance.

The metaphor is approximative, but you get the point.  There is room for freedom and choice.

When we know what we want, really know, really want, we're likely to get it.

When we don't get what we want, we are probably wanting various incompatible things at the same time, more or less consciously.

The chart shows the entanglements.

Sometimes, when doing readings,  I pointing out some dates in the past. I ask the person I’m reading for: what happened around that time… It's a way to understand how the 'skeleton' wears its flesh and skin, and make sense of a life story. But I'm not very interesting in timing the future.

The purpose  is freedom.
